Ink in Motion
A series of images looking at the flow and sculptural forms of ink in water captured using high speed flash sync. These photographs represent an ongoing study which is looking in-depth at the way high pigment inks interact with each other, and the dispersal process in the water.
The study captures forms from thin filaments to complex folds and rounded explosions of colour, which create a surreal other worldly feel to the images.
This set of photographs is based upon the figurative form using a sculptural interplay. This photographic work encompasses technical abstraction, low light and macro photography. These techniques create a surreal landscape of the human form.
This series of images is looking at the interaction of various liquids in a container. I am looking at both the chemical reactions and the density of the liquids and the interactions which take place using long exposures and flash photography.
A series of photographs looking at our food in macro. I find a great beauty in our fruits, vegetables and fungi which, in most part, we take for granted or never really look at in close up. This study is looking at the shape, textures and colours of our food to reveal a beauty which is all to often overlooked.
